Schizophrenia
This in a serious devastating brain disease which involves acute psychotic episodes. It is a disorder of brain circuitry. It is a universal illness and can strike a person regardless of caste, creed, economic status, country, age, religion etc.There are two types of symptoms in scizophrenia.

Positive Symptoms which involve the presence of certain types of symptoms like
1. Hallucinations- false perceptions like hearing voices
2. Delusions-false thinking such as imagining you are being followed
3. Bizarre behavior in public-shouting, talking, screaming at imaginary objects and people
4. Disorganised, Scaterred thinking
5. Restlessness-walking up and down exitedly

Negative Symptoms which show the absence of ceratin behavior like
1. Lack of motivation- dullness
2. Inability to experience pleasure or joy in life
3. Distracted and un-focussed mind
4. Inability to speak and think properly
5. EmotionlessPeople with Scizophrenia at at a higher risk of suicide and should not be left alone in the acute stages.
